Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday reviewed the preparations for the upcoming Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, scheduled to take place in Prayagraj. Given the cold weather, he emphasised the importance of making arrangements for food and other necessities on time.
The Chief Minister was informed that plans have been made to house over 6,000 people in a fully equipped tent city being constructed in Arail, on the banks of the Sangam. The entire campsite is attractively designed. Additionally, two cruises, six floating jetties, four VIP boats, five motorboats, 50 golf carts, and 50 tour guides are being organised.
The event, which will begin on January 13, 2025, and conclude on February 26, 2025, is expected to attract a massive crowd.
During his visit, he inspected the entire site, including the underconstruction tent city, Swaroop Rani hospital, Prayagraj airport, and Prayagraj railway station, to review the preparation ahead of the Maha Kumbh.
Expressing pleasure with the progress, he emphasised the importance of improving passenger amenities, given the vast number of devotees expected to arrive during the Maha Kumbh.
